One of The Sage Group’s clients, a leading provider of cloud-based technology for the alternative investment industry, is seeking a Demand Generation Manager with deep experience in enterprise B2B demand generation. This role is designed to help our client evolve their demand generation marketing program, with an initial focus on building integrated, multi-channel marketing campaigns and establishing campaign tracking, measurement, and telemetry.
This is a highly hands‑on role for someone who can define strategy, put structure and governance in place, and execute campaigns directly in a startup-like environment where processes and infrastructure are still being built.
Key Responsibilities- Own the end-to-end campaign lifecycle
, including strategy, planning, execution, and optimization - Design and launch integrated marketing campaigns that replace one-off tactics
- Build quarterly and annual campaign plans tightly aligned to business goals and revenue priorities
- Establish campaign planning frameworks, operating cadence, process, and governance
- Coordinate targeted inbound and outbound programs across channels (email, paid, content, events, sales plays)
- Collaborate closely with Account Executives on account‑specific motions and campaign execution
- Stand up campaign tracking and measurement from the ground up
- Define campaign KPIs, success metrics, and reporting cadence
- Specify required data and telemetry, partnering closely with a marketing operations contractor or future hire
- Diagnose funnel performance and use data to guide iteration, experimentation, and prioritization
- Operate effectively amid evolving data pipelines and imperfect infrastructure
- Balance speed and rigor—iterating quickly while building scalable foundations
- Support enablement through documentation, playbooks, and repeatable best practices
Skills & Qualifications
- 6–10+ years of experience in B2B, enterprise, sales‑led demand generation
- Strong background in integrated marketing campaigns
- Proven ability to build, diagnose, and optimize funnels
, with ownership of reporting and performance insights - Experience building targeted demand generation programs for a focused set of priority accounts
- Demonstrated ability to operate at both 30,000 ft (strategy) and 3 ft (hands‑on execution)
- Comfort working in a startup or build‑phase environment where process, tooling, and infrastructure are still being established
- Solid understanding of required platforms and systems (e.g., marketing automation, CRM, ABM tools, analytics); relevant certifications are a plus
- Analytical, data‑driven mindset with a bias toward action and experimentation
- Experience in fintech
, enterprise SaaS, or complex B2B verticals - Familiarity with alternative investments, private capital markets, or fund administrators
- Prior experience building demand generation foundations in early‑to‑mid stage companies
Compensation: $75 - $80/hr DOE
Location: New York; hybrid onsite
Duration: 6 Months/ contract to hire potential
