We are currently seeking a dedicated Special Education Lead Teacher to guide our special education classroom and ensure that every child receives the individualized support they need.
Position OverviewThe Special Education Lead Teacher will manage a special education classroom, working directly with young children who have special needs. The ideal candidate will have expertise in early childhood education and a strong foundation in special education practices. This role requires the ability to design and implement effective learning strategies, create a nurturing environment, and collaborate closely with families and other professionals to support the development of each child.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a special education classroom, creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet the specific needs of each child.
- Provide differentiated instruction to address the diverse learning styles and abilities within the classroom.
- Regularly assess and monitor student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as needed to support each child’s development.
- Collaborate with parents, guardians, therapists, and other educational professionals to ensure comprehensive support for each student.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of student progress, IEPs, and any other required documentation.
- Stay informed on best practices in early childhood special education and engage in ongoing professional development.
- Ensure compliance with all state and local regulations related to special education and early childhood education

- Strong understanding of child development and special education strategies.

- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a dynamic environment.
- Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to supporting the unique needs of each child.
- Master’s degree in Early Childhood Special Education or a related field.
