Schedule: 4 days per week (flexible per candidate) | 8:30 AM – 2:00 PM

, you’ll play a vital role in supporting Grades 6–8 classrooms through consistent, in‑class academic support. This role focuses on push‑in classroom support during ELA instruction
, helping students strengthen reading comprehension, writing skills, vocabulary development, and overall literacy confidence throughout the school day.

As a Simply Ed Middle School ELA Teacher’s Assistant, you will:

• Provide push‑in classroom support during ELA instruction.
• Support teachers in delivering engaging, standards‑aligned literacy lessons.
• Offer one‑on‑one and small group academic support to students.
• Reinforce reading comprehension strategies, writing development, and vocabulary skills.
• Help manage classroom routines and foster an inclusive, supportive learning environment.
• Assist with organizing materials and preparing instructional resources.
• Monitor student progress and share observations with teachers and staff.
• Collaborate with educators to meet student learning needs.
• Attend required training sessions and staff meetings.

We’re seeking individuals who are:

• Passionate about supporting middle school students’ academic growth in ELA.

• Experienced with children (formally or informally) – school experience preferred, but training is provided.
• Currently pursuing or holding a bachelor’s degree in Education, English, or a related field.
• Able to adapt to different learning environments and student needs.
• Cleared (or eligible for clearance) through DOE PETS background check and fingerprinting.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
