Job Description:

Alfred State is seeking an experienced nursing educator for an adjunct clinical instructor position, to teach in our newly developed LPN program. Clinical instructors play a vital role in the education of our students.

A summary of responsibilities of Clinical instructors include:

Supervise care provided by a group of students (usually 8-10 students in a group) Coordinate with clinicians at the clinical site to make student patient assignments Teach students how to perform duties in the clinical site and answer their questions Evaluate your students' clinical work. Any additional expectations will be discussed at the time of interview. Participate in weekly level meetings.

Alfred State's Department of Nursing is housed in a newly renovated, state-of-the-art classroom and laboratory building equipped with 10 computerized simulation mannequins, two of them high fidelity.

A master's degree in nursing or nursing education is required; however, we will consider applicants actively pursuing their BS degree in Nursing. NYS Professional Nursing license and current CPR certification required, as well as a strong clinical background in healthcare.…
