Job Description:

Provide direct instruction to all students.

Qualifications:

* Hold valid New York State School teaching certificate or requisite hours per NY state guidelines preferred.

* Flexibility to meet the needs of a range of student learners

* Ability to work effectively with a variety of staff

* Strong communication skills

* Strong organizational and planning skills

Responsibilities:
Shall include but are not limited to the following:

* Ability to follow plans provided

* Ability to plan lessons as needed

* Knowledge of classroom management strategies

* Ability to use computer network system and software applications as needed

* Ability to organize and coordinate work;

* Ability to communicate effectively with students and parent(s) guardian(s)

* Ability to engage culturally diverse students; and

* Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Terms of Employment:

The position of Substitute Teacher can be per diem, short term, long term or ten-month position.

Salary:
Minimum starting salary as per the Victor Teachers' Association Contract

NYSED teacher certified - $130/day (1-30 days)

* $145/day (31+ days)

Uncertified -$120/day

NYS TRS retiree -$145/day (1-30 days)

* $160/day (31+ days)
