Russell Sage Foundation Visiting Scholars and Researchers 2026
RSF's Visiting Scholar
program is a unique opportunity for junior and senior scholars to spend a year (or a semester) in residence at RSF in New York City pursuing research examining essential questions on social, economic, and political living conditions in the United States. The program fosters the exchange of ideas in a vibrant interdisciplinary environment and promotes multi-disciplinary collaborations. Applications are reviewed by outside experts;
final selections are made by RSF trustees.

RSF's Visiting Researcher program considers applications for short-term fellowships by scholars who are conducting research relevant to the foundation's priority areas. These positions do not come with any foundation financial support and are available for visits up to five months, as space permits.
