Program Overview
Tutoring takes place from Monday through Thursday between 8am and 3pm.
Reading Partners is a nonprofit that provides free-of-charge, high-quality literacy tutoring to K-4th grade students in under‑resourced New York City elementary schools. Tutoring is provided by community volunteers, who work one‑on‑one with students to provide extra support with reading. No prior experience is required to volunteer with Reading Partners, as we provide volunteers with all of the materials needed to implement effective lessons under the supervision and guidance of a full‑time program coordinator.
