Overview
Minds Matter NYC connects driven and determined students from low-income families with the people, preparation, and possibilities to succeed in college and build their futures. Volunteer with Minds Matter NYC to help low-income students achieve their college dreams.
Responsibilities- Mentors - Share insight from your own college and career journey, while providing vital support and encouragement to your student through a three-year curriculum.
- Time Commitment
: 11 AM to 12:30 PM on Saturdays (excluding school breaks and holidays), for three academic school years
- Time Commitment
- Writing Advisors - Help students develop their voice, make an argument using supporting evidence, and learn to be critical readers, ultimately developing strong personal narratives for college applications.
- Time Commitment
: 12 PM to 2 PM on Saturdays (excluding school breaks and holidays), for three academic school years
