Position: Leadership Development Coach, Alpha - $150,000/year USD
Location: New York

Overview

On-site position in San Francisco, CA;
Santa Barbara, CA; or New York City, NY. Weekly payment of 150,000 USD salary. Health benefits begin day one. Relocation assistance available.

You have accomplished difficult things. You have operated within genuine standards. You understand the distinction between effort and execution. If you are ready to apply that discipline in a role that redirects a young person's future, this position is designed for you.

Alpha School leverages AI-powered 1:1 instruction, enabling students to complete core academics in approximately two hours daily. The remaining time is dedicated to life skills, self-directed pursuits, and meaningful development. At our most rigorous campuses, students require more than oversight. They require a credible mentor capable of assessing dynamics, establishing expectations, and guiding them through obstacles, distraction, and uncertainty.

This is not conventional classroom instruction. You will not deliver lectures, assign grades, or develop curriculum. You will coach. You will facilitate structured life-skills workshops. You will interpret data to identify what limits a student’s progress, then intervene with precision and empathy until they execute.

If you carry an elite credential and a history of elevating others  performance, we are interested in speaking with you. Apply to help shape a campus environment where students arrive prepared, develop tangible skills, and surpass challenging objectives.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Facilitate 1:1 and small-group coaching that converts student objectives into reliable execution and quantifiable progress
  • Leverage analytics and student aspirations to identify barriers and design ambitious, personalized motivation strategies
  • Conduct structured life-skills workshops through authentic storytelling, guided reflection, and practical application, then evaluate mastery
  • Facilitate daily opening sessions that establish culture, uphold high standards, and prepare students before work begins
  • Build credible mentor relationships with students and families grounded in high expectations, reliability, and thoughtful judgment
What You Won’t Be Doing
  • Deliver traditional classroom instruction, lectures, or academic tutoring
  • Create curriculum, develop lesson plans, or evaluate student assignments
  • Supervise staff, oversee campus operations, or assume administrative leadership responsibilities
  • Compromise standards to achieve short-term compliance or superficial results
