Responsibilities
Be a trusted and frequent presence in classrooms and broadly in the life of the school.
Work with teachers to further develop the skills necessary to infuse anti-bias, anti-racist, and culturally responsive pedagogy in their curricula and classrooms. This may include observation, coaching, and feedback.
Collaborate on the creation and refinement of tools that assess curriculum and pedagogy, particularly as it relates to equity and inclusion.
Collaborate with administrators—department heads, directors, and division heads—to advance institutional and divisional academic initiatives pertaining to equity and inclusion.
Design and implement internal professional development for various configurations of faculty and academic leaders.
Partner with teachers and teams to improve practice at the intersection of social/emotional health, learning, and equity, inclusion, and belonging.
Serve on Department Heads team and Academic Council, bodies responsible for broad curricular and instructional initiatives and school wide programmatic planning.
Through reading, attendance at conferences and workshops, and networking among equity and inclusion practitioners and other academic leaders, maintain knowledge of current research and best practices in the field.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree required.Work Experience:
Minimum of five years of teaching experience preferably in more than one school level.
Strong understanding of curriculum development and pedagogical best practices.
Demonstrated experience collaborating, initiating, and managing curricular evolution and change.
Previous leadership or administrative experience in an educational setting (preferred).

Proven record of relevant training and demonstrated experience translating theory to practice.
Ability to apply systems analysis and strategic thinking.

Skills:Superb written and oral communication skills.
Interpersonal
Skills:Ability to engage effectively with multiple constituents within the school community and to project professional competence, leadership capability, discretion, judgment, and personal maturity.
Ability to collaborate and work in multiple group configurations within a complex and dynamic environment.
