Position: Fifth and Sixth Grade Lacrosse Coaches (Spring Season)

Reports to: Athletics Director for Competitive Sports

FLSA: Exempt - part‑time

Salary Range: $1,550 - $1,750 (for the season)

Start Date: April 7, 2026

Schedule: Tuesdays and Fridays: 3pm - 5pm

The Middle School is looking for head and assistant coaches for their 5th/6th grade lacrosse teams. The coaches play a vital role in delivering high‑quality instruction, fostering a positive and inclusive team culture, and supporting the holistic development of student‑athletes. In collaboration with their co‑coaches, they will deliver engaging practices, mentorship, and administrative oversight, with a focus on preparing middle school athletes for future success at the varsity level.

• Demonstrate high‑level instruction in lacrosse, incorporating fundamental skill development in different levels of player
• Implement effective, engaging practice sessions.
• Help reinforce a strong, positive team culture aligned with the values and philosophy of the CSH athletic program and mission and goals of the school.
• Strive for development in line with the long‑term program vision, plan and curriculum set out by the Associate Director of Athletics and Head Varsity Coach
• Demonstrate genuine care for the holistic development of student‑athletes—social, emotional, academic, ethical, and athletic—with an unwavering commitment to their health, safety, and well‑being.
• Collaborate closely with the Associate Director of Athletics to advance program goals and foster team success.
• Model leadership, professionalism, and integrity in all interactions with student‑athletes, families, colleagues, and school administrators.
• Uphold the highest standards of ethical conduct and adhere to all rules, policies, and guidelines set by the school, league, and athletic department.
• Complete administrative tasks such as attendance tracking, match logistics, distribution and collection of uniforms, communication with families, and other administrative duties as needed.
• Maintain professional, collaborative relationships with colleagues, both within and beyond the athletics department.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and demonstrate a commitment to personal growth as a coach and educator.
• Support the Associate Director of Athletics with additional duties necessary for the success of the team and overall athletics program, even if not explicitly outlined above.

• Bachelor's degree and two years of relevant experience, or a combination of education and experience.
• Previous track and field coaching experience required. High school and/or college competition experience preferred.
• A passion for the sport, coaching and student athlete development
• Ability to provide leadership and direction to student‑athletes, and support student success on all levels.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage relationships with student‑athletes, families, and school administrators.
• A record of integrity, reliability, punctuality and strong work ethic
