Compensation: (Salaries determined by credentials and experience. EHTP offers a competitive benefits package)
- Masters: $75,000 – $150,000

Who We AreEast Harlem Scholars Academies are community-based Pre‑K to 12 public charter schools operated by East Harlem Tutorial Program (EHTP). Founded in 1958 as a children’s reading group, EHTP now operates a multi‑site after‑school program and a network of public charter schools focused on increasing the college graduation rate in East Harlem.
EHTP also serves as an agent of change, contributing to the national fight for racial equity. Through an organization‑wide commitment to anti‑racism work, EHTP prepares scholars to effect change, challenge the status quo, and thrive. Racial justice guides professional development, curriculum, materials, and processes.

As a Middle School Inclusive Learning Teacher, you will be student‑facing most of the day, working alongside a co‑teacher to deliver content and instruction to all students in your class(es). You will collaborate with your grade team and the instructional leadership team to internalize, and in some cases develop, curriculum; provide high‑quality instruction; track and measure student progress, including managing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) of scholars;
create a positive classroom and school culture; and engage in reflection and continuous improvement.
- Minimum of three years’ experience in relevant educational positions.
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher and hold or are in the process of obtaining a New York State teaching certification for teaching Students With Disabilities (required).
- Ability to speak, write, and understand Spanish fluently (preferred).
- High professional and ethical standards.
- Experience working with diverse populations of students and communities.
- Belief that every student can and will learn when provided with a quality education.
- Demonstrated success in raising achievement levels of traditionally at‑risk students.
- Flexibility and willingness to adapt to school and student needs.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and learning through professional development.
