General Description

SUNY Niagara needs a part‑time instructor to teach courses in the Animal Management program. Classes are held on the SUNY Niagara main campus in Sanborn, NY on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Remuneration is $960 per lecture hour and $860 per lab hour. SUNY Niagara accepts applications continuously; openings may exist at any time.

Essential Functions
  • Work with and teach a diverse student population.
  • Present information to groups and communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and supervisors.

  • Perform physically required duties of the position.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree and enrollment in a master’s degree level program in Biology, Zoology, Wildlife Conservation, or related curriculum.
  • One year of teaching experience at the post‑secondary level.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Biology, Zoology, Wildlife Conservation, or related curriculum.
  • Two years of teaching at the community college level.
  • At least one year of professional work experience as a zookeeper or aquarist.
