Job Description
The Building Trades Department is seeking an instructor for the HVAC AOS degree program. The instructor will teach post‑secondary students plumbing and HVAC principles through classroom lectures and hands‑on activities on and off campus sites. In addition to teaching, the instructor will be involved in the campus community and university service, including student advisement, recruiting, committee work, curriculum development, and maintaining industry relations.
Responsibilities- Deliver classroom instruction on plumbing and HVAC concepts and applications.
- Plan and conduct hands‑on activities on and off campus.
- Provide student advisement and support.
- Participate in recruiting activities and committee service.
- Assist in curriculum development and maintain industry relationships.
- Well‑versed in heating and electrical theories, plumbing, and air conditioning service and installation.
- Minimum of 5–7 years of trade service experience.
- Preferred: associate’s degree in a related field and teaching experience in a technical environment.
