Early Childhood Program Coordinator; Administration & Classroom Support

The STREAM School, a well-established progressive Early Childhood and Elementary School, seeks an innovative, creative, and knowledgeable Early Childhood Coordinator for ECE Program (Toddlers, 3-K for All, 4-K for All / Pre-Kindergarten classrooms). The ideal candidats will have experience teaching in early childhood settings, knowledge of the Reggio Emilia Approach or a commitment to learning. S/he will be a positive school community member and will enjoy working collaboratively with a team and building positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.

Supportive work environment with excellent opportunities for professional development throughout the year provided by both the school and NYC Department of Education. Salary is based on NYCDOE Salary Schedule ranging from $68,000 - $72,000 per contract year.

Requirements:

• NYS ECE Certification (Emergency Covid-19 Certification will be accepted, but the teacher must already have the certificate before Sept. 1, 2021. Pending COVID certificates will not be accepted. NYCDOE expects the teacher to complete his/her certification within 2 years of hire date.)
• B.A. or M.A. Degree in Early Childhood Education
• Minimum 1 year of classroom experience
• Have a constructivist approach to education.
• Be creative, thoughtful, self-reflective, a problem solver, & a lifelong learner.
• Work collaboratively with partner teachers and across disciplines in the creation of meaningful, engaging, and authentic learning experiences for students.
