Coach - Girls Varsity Softball Head Coach

Location: Woodmere

Hewlett-Woodmere School district is seeking a Girls Varsity Softball Head Coach for the Spring 2024-25 season. Organize and be present at all practices and meets.

Ensure that all aspects of the program comply with the guidelines, rules and policies that have been established by the School District, League, Section, State and National Federation.

Develop and communicate criteria for selection to appropriate teams.

Work effectively with Varsity Asst. Head Coach, JV, & MS and community coaches to develop and strengthen program.

Maintain discipline and work to increase morale and cooperation within the school athletic program.

Complete and submit all documents and reports in a timely manner.

Display and encourage sportsmanship.

Develop the program in a positive manner and serve as a role model for students.

Evaluate team and individual performance to help with personal and team growth.

Adjust practice and game plans to the strengths and skills of the team.

Communicate effectively with students, parents, administration, and community.

Must have First Aid/CPR/AED/ and NYSED coaching requirements.

Previous playing experience and/or coaching desired. Dive experience a plus Start Date will be March 17, 2025
