Job SummaryThe College of Nursing at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a part-time Clinical Associate Professor (12 Month). The successful candidate will:
- Support the accreditation process and assists the Dean with strategies planning for the college; and other activities to support the mission of the college.
- Teach the graduate program
- Use innovative, active teaching and learning strategies.
- Advise students in area of doctoral work; mentor students in evidence-based research and scholarship.
- Evaluate and provide documented feedback on students’ performance.
- Report to Executive Vice Dean.
- Engage in scholarly activities.
- Work in collaboration with other faculty to support the mission of the College of Nursing.
- Collaborate with the Deans of Faculty Department.
- Doctoral Degree in Nursing.
- Registered Nurse License.
- 5 years of progressive teaching and academic leadership experience.
- Evidence of scholarship.
- Evidence of independent and collaborative research and extramural funding.
- Experience teaching in a DNP Program.
- Experience in curriculum development and evaluation.
- Experience teaching in a Distance Education Program.
