Part Time Case Manager - Liberty Partnership Program
SUNY Niagara is seeking dedicated and passionate individuals to join our Liberty Partnership Program as Part-Time Case Managers. This grant‑funded position will play a crucial role in providing essential services to students in grades 5‑12 who are enrolled in our partner school districts, supporting their academic and personal development.
Typical responsibilities include:
- Administer program assessments and use data to drive programming to meet student needs.
- Provide academic instruction and assist students with homework in various subject areas.
- Design and implement lessons, activities, and trips for students in accordance with grant guidelines (social skills, community service, employment preparation, college readiness, enrichment, mentoring, civic service, leadership, sports and wellness, emotional skill development).
- Plan, develop, and conduct workshops (financial literacy, career and college exploration, interviewing skills, resume building, communication, goal setting).
- Serve as a student advocate and enhance collaborative relationships with families and community services.
- Work closely with partner school counselors to identify and case‑manage Liberty students.
- Prepare and deliver presentations to groups and conduct home visits for new participants, material drop‑off, and ongoing home contact as needed.
- Other duties as assigned by the Program Director.
Essential functions:
- Must be able to relate to a diverse student population and academic personnel.
- Must manage multiple functions and work well independently and as a team member.
- Must have effective oral and written communication skills.
- Must have experience with Microsoft Office, Excel, spreadsheets, and database management.
- Must possess good organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to travel between multiple Niagara County school districts and physically perform the duties of the position.
Required qualifications:
- Associate’s Degree or a minimum of 30 college credit hours earned toward a Bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum of two (2) years of paid professional experience working in an educational setting.
- Valid New York State driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Desirable qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- At least two (2) years full‑time paid professional experience working with a diverse population in an educational setting, preferably with students identified as "at risk, low‑income, or first generation".
