L’Alliance New York is internationally known for offering the largest selection of fully-immersive French language courses for students aged one to 101, and for its renowned cultural programming including the annual Bastille Day celebration that takes place on New York's famed Madison Avenue, attracting over 50,000 visitors each year; the Crossing The Line arts and performance festival that engages NYC cultural institutions in bringing dynamic international artists to audiences;
Animation First, the biggest animation festival in the U.S; and the Comic Arts Fest, celebrating the intersection of American and francophone comic arts.

Position Overview

L’Alliance New York is seeking a highly organized and energetic Summer Camp Operations Coordinator to support the successful planning and day-to-day execution of its Language Center Summer Camp program in Manhattan.

This is a temporary, in-person position ideal for an early-career professional interested in youth programming, education operations, and family-facing coordination within a dynamic cultural and educational institution. The Coordinator will play a key role in ensuring smooth daily camp operations, supporting staff, helping manage logistics, and contributing to a safe, welcoming, and engaging experience for children and families throughout the summer.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the daily operations of Summer Camp, including arrival, dismissal, transitions, and general schedule flow
  • Help coordinate classrooms, supplies, activity materials, and shared spaces.
  • Serve as a point of contact for camp staff, families, and internal teams as needed.
  • Assist with attendance tracking, rosters, and basic student-related administrative follow-up.
  • Help prepare and organize materials for weekly themes, workshops, and outings.
  • Support communication with families, including practical updates and general camp information.
  • Help ensure that safety procedures and pickup protocols are followed consistently.
  • Assist with field trip logistics, transportation coordination, and on-site supervision support.
  • Contribute to a positive, solutions-oriented environment for both children and staff.
  • Support the Language Center team with other operational needs related to Summer Camp.

Experience & Qualifications
  • Must hold valid U.S. work authorization.

  • Previous experience in camps, after school programs, schools, childcare, or youth programs preferred.
  • Ability to manage logistics and operational details with care and consistency.
