Part‑Time Science Teacher

The Bellmore‑Merrick Central High School District is seeking a Part‑Time Science Teacher (.7) to provide instruction in Earth Science and biology‑based general science courses at the secondary level. The successful candidate will deliver engaging, standards‑based instruction while supporting students’ scientific inquiry, critical thinking, and understanding of core science concepts.

• Teaching Earth Science and biology‑based general science courses at the secondary level
• Developing and implementing engaging, standards‑aligned lesson plans
• Incorporating laboratory experiences and inquiry‑based learning into instruction
• Assessing student progress and providing timely feedback
• Collaborating with colleagues on curriculum development and instructional practices
• Supporting a positive and inclusive classroom environment

• Valid New York State Earth Science and Biology certification required
• Experience teaching secondary science courses preferred
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
