Position Overview
The interdisciplinary Criminal Justice Doctoral Program at CUNY invites applications for a joint appointment at the rank of Associate or Full Professor at the CUNY Graduate Center and at John Jay College (in a home department to be determined, e.g., Criminal Justice;
Law, Police Science and Criminal Justice Administration;
Sociology;
Political Science;
Africana Studies; and Latin American and Latinx Studies, with personnel matters handled through the home department). We seek a highly accomplished, established scholar with an international reputation for innovative, sustained, and influential research in interdisciplinary criminal justice issues, as well as a strong quantitative research background. The ideal candidate will complement and strengthen the College's commitment to the research focus of its doctoral program.
The position begins in Fall 2026.
- Ph.D. in Criminal Justice or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution.
- A distinguished record of scholarly achievement and publication sufficient to merit appointment with tenure at the Associate or Full Professor rank in the CUNY system.
- Demonstrated capacity to teach successfully at both the undergraduate and graduate (Ph.D.) levels.
Salary Range: $74,249 - $136,546.
