Step into a rewarding contract opportunity working as a Physical Therapist Assistant supporting school-aged children! This assignment will run from late April through the end of June, covering a long-term substitute need. You'll work three days per week across two nearby educational sites, serving primarily kindergarten through fifth-grade students. This role allows you to make a tremendous impact during a critical period of the school year.

Ideal candidates bring a passion for pediatric care and a collaborative spirit within school environments. You'll work closely with a dedicated PT, educators, and other support staff to deliver therapy services that enhance students' mobility, participation, and overall school experience.

Qualifications & Desired

Experience:

• Required:
  
  Valid PTA license for New York State
• Experience in school-based or pediatric PT highly valued
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Adaptability working at multiple locations with a diverse, K-5 student population
• Ability to follow directions from PT and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct therapy to students in accordance with individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Execute treatment sessions and activities designed by the supervising PT
• Document student progress and session outcomes thoroughly and accurately
• Prepare and maintain therapy equipment and school-based materials
• Engage with teachers and school staff to facilitate carryover of PT goals in the classroom
• Travel between assigned sites as needed
