Business Internship
Are you interested in learning what it takes to launch a new school year, and work alongside a passionate, mission-oriented team? As a part of our Zeta Summer Internship Program
, you will gain invaluable insight into schooling by supporting our schools and staff in preparation for the launch of the 2026-27 school year.
Zeta Summer Interns will have a strong work ethic, be extremely dependable, and be able to manage multiple tasks at once in a strategic, organized way. You will work with and learn from a team of mission-driven, high-achieving, passionate colleagues to help Zeta succeed in its mission to build and sustain high-performing schools that forge thriving communities of lifelong learners, problem solvers, and innovators.
ResponsibilitiesAs a Summer Intern, you will work side-by-side with our School-based
Operations team to organize and prepare Zeta for the 2026-27 school year. Play a hands‑on role in transforming our school buildings into inspiring learning environments by:
- Support the launch of the new school year by project managing school operations initiatives, including summer facilities renovations, custodial management, furniture installation, and materials deliveries, ensuring every detail is thoughtfully planned and executed
- Stock and organize classrooms, common spaces, and storage rooms; support classroom setup and assist with beautifying school spaces to create welcoming, functional spaces for students and staff
- Support preparation for teacher and student return, including setting up technology, making family phone calls, ordering materials, developing training materials for new staff, distributing swag and supplies, and preparing onboarding materials for new Zeta team members
- Previous experience in general operations work is preferred (e.g., summer camp, restaurants, retail, etc.)
- Demonstrated passion for the mission, vision, and core values of Zeta Charter Schools
- Strong work ethic and a willingness to do whatever it takes to get the job done
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong problem‑solving mentality and attention to detail
- Desire to work tirelessly and collaboratively in order to ensure our schools are 100% ready for staff and students heading into the 2026-27 school year
- This will be a full‑time, in‑person internship in which you will report to one of our Zeta Schools, either in Inwood, the Bronx, or Queens. The internship duration is 6 weeks long, from July 6, 2026 – August 14, 2026. Interns can expect to work 8 hours a day, from 8:00am – 4:00pm.

. Seniors interested in full‑time opportunities may be considered for a full‑time role following the internship, pending strong performance and organizational need. - Compensation for this position is $17.00 an hour.
