Math - Science Teacher

Divine Mercy Catholic Academy is looking for a Math and/or Science teacher for Grades 5-8 (or 5/6, 7/8). We are a faith‑filled community with a family spirit.

The candidate should be a practicing Catholic who brings enthusiasm and creativity to the subjects and fosters a sense of excitement for learning in students. The teacher will bring academic excellence by challenging students and recognizing individual achievement, with experience in differentiated and center‑based learning.

Responsibilities include:

teaching a homeroom that covers Religion, Math and/or Science for Grades 5-8 (or 5/6, 7/8); participation in school liturgies, prayer services, retreats, and community events; attendance at faculty meetings, professional development sessions, and school events; and lesson planning that follows New York State Standards and supports Catholic school philosophy and values. The teacher should create a firm yet loving environment that encourages collaboration, respect, and student engagement.

School hours are 7:30 a.m. – 3:15 p.m.

Competitive salary ranges from $45,000 to $55,000 based on certifications and experience.
