Position: Family Engagement Coordinator, Alpha - $100,000/year USD
Location: New York

This position is onsite and requires you to be physically present in NYC.

In this position, you will guide families through every stage of their journey—from initial outreach through final enrollment—ensuring that each touchpoint embodies Alpha's precision, authenticity, and rigor. Your responsibilities include managing daily correspondence, organizing impactful admissions events, and keeping applicant data precise to support sound decision-making.

If you excel in dynamic, purpose-driven settings—where speed, structure, and accuracy directly influence family experience and enrollment success—this hybrid role combines remote flexibility with consistent in-person participation at admissions activities.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Manage and respond to the admissions inbox, delivering timely, considerate, and polished communication to prospective families (both virtually and face-to-face)
  • Handle and monitor digital admissions documentation with meticulous attention to accuracy
  • Attend all admissions events, including information sessions, shadow visits, and community gatherings, whether held on-site or online
  • Collaborate directly with Lead Guides to arrange student shadow day schedules
  • Ensure admissions platforms, records, and follow-up activities remain current and precise
What You Won’t Be Doing
  • Formulate admissions policy or make ultimate acceptance determinations
  • Function exclusively in an administrative capacity with no direct family contact
  • Work within a sluggish, heavily procedural setting
  • Prioritize rapport-building alone without rigorous execution and accountability
Family Engagement Coordinator

Key Responsibilities

This position ensures that a frictionless, high-yield admissions process fuels robust enrollment and sustained family satisfaction throughout Alpha's network of campuses.

Basic Requirements
  • 2+ years of customer-facing experience
  • Proven administrative and organizational capabilities; you are dependable and precision-focused
  • High attention to detail and demonstrated experience managing accurate applicant records or CRM data
  • Comfortable managing a blend of remote responsibilities and in-person campus duties
  • Able to adjust rapidly and succeed in a fast-paced, mission-oriented environment
  • Authorized to work in the US and available to work in-person in NYC; NY or willing to relocate
Nice-to-have Requirements
  • Experience in education, enrollment coordination, or school administration
  • Prior involvement in admissions events or personalized onboarding workflows
  • Familiarity with rapidly evolving, technology-driven work environments

Working with us

This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $50 USD/hour, which equates to $100,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
