UPK Teacher
Full time position located in Auburn, NY, United States.
Salary range: $24.48 to $28.90 per hour.
The mission of Community Action Programs Cayuga/Seneca (CAP) is to respectfully assist people to achieve and sustain self‑sufficiency through direct services, education, and community partnerships.
CAP is seeking a UPK Teacher for their Early Childhood Program. The role involves providing high quality and comprehensive child development instruction to children and parents, as well as classroom leadership in a UPK or Head Start/UPK class.
Employment for this position will begin on August 14, 2026.
Qualifications:
Must possess a NYS Teaching Certificate for the early childhood grades (Birth‑2, Nursery, K‑6 or for students with disabilities) valid for service in the early childhood grades; or a bachelor's degree in early childhood or a related field, along with a written plan to obtain certification within five years.
This is a full‑time, 11‑month position scheduled for 37.5 hours per week, 45 weeks per year.
The rate of pay varies based on the candidate's current education level and certifications:
- $24.48 per hour for a bachelor's degree in early childhood or related field, and working toward NYS teaching certification
- $26.52 per hour for a bachelor's degree in early childhood or related field, with NYS teaching certification
- $28.90 per hour for a master's degree in early childhood or related field, with NYS teaching certification
