Position Title: Part Time Economics Instructor

Working Hours: In person and Online (Tuesday and Thursday)
Remuneration: $960 per lecture hour
General DescriptionSUNY Niagara has a need for part time instructors to teach an online section of Microeconomics and Macroeconomics and in person classes on Tuesday and Thursday. Part time instructors will be responsible for completing mandatory New York State compliance trainings and attending in‑person meetings and professional development on campus.

Typical Work Activities- Help students during a designated office hour
- Attend and participate in meetings as necessary
- Complete NYS compliance trainings
- Complete online teaching training
- Adhere to attendance and college grading policies
Ability to navigate relationships with diverse populations. Ability to speak in front of groups of people. Ability to actively involve and engage students in their own learning. Must be able to communicate effectively with students, coworkers, supervisors, campus and external community. Must develop, prepare, and present information. Must operate computers and physically perform the duties of the position.
Required Qualifications- Master’s Degree in Economics, or an M.B.A. degree with a minimum of 12 graduate school hours in economics.
- Any teaching experience, preferably at a community college.
- Experience teaching online, especially using Brightspace.
