Mad Science Summer Instructor

Overview

Mad Science is looking for energetic and dynamic individuals to conduct fun and engaging summer STEM workshops during June, July, and/or August. We provide all training and equipment.

• Free uniforms

Conduct fun, engaging summer STEM workshops for elementary students using a structured enrichment program with interactive activities. Facilitate hands-on learning and ensure safety and engagement during sessions. We will train you on EVERYTHING you need to know.

• You must be available at least 4 days per week
• Good communication skills, attention to detail, and a joyful approach to teaching
• Experience working with children ages 3-5 or 6-12 (age ranges may vary)
• Access to reliable transportation

Long Island STEAM Group is an organization encompassing several educational and entertaining programs for pre- and elementary school children. We are the provider of Mad Science, Schoolhouse Chess, and Brixology, and have been bringing learning programs to the children of Long Island for over 20 years. We take pride in merging education and entertainment with engaging presentations for children when they are most receptive to learning.

Having fun while learning is evident throughout every assembly, workshop, birthday party, summer camp, and after-school enrichment program we offer. We are always seeking highly energetic and dynamic individuals to conduct fun workshops and shows throughout the year at libraries, schools, and camps around Long Island. Children expand their interest in learning through fun, safe, hands-on activities. We promote creativity by allowing children to experiment and experience for themselves how compelling and interactive learning can be.

Compensation: $25.00 per hour

For over 35 years, we have sparked imaginative learning through our summer camps, birthday parties, in-class workshops, after-school programs, and special events for kids ages 3-12.
