Schedule:

Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM | Pay Range: $19.00 – $25.00/hour (Pay rate varies based on certification level and experience)

Kidtastic Kids Preschool is seeking a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support students with special needs in a classroom setting.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with classroom teachers and support staff to help create a safe, structured, nurturing, and engaging learning environment where every child can succeed.

• Assist the Classroom Teacher with daily instruction and classroom activities
• Support students’ academic, social, emotional, and behavioral development
• Help implement accommodations and strategies outlined in students’ IEPs
• Assist with classroom organization and preparation of learning materials
• Provide supervision during classroom activities, transitions, meals/snack time, and outdoor play
• Support positive behavior and social skill development using approved behavior management strategies
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and structured classroom environment
• Assist with data collection and classroom documentation
• Communicate observations and concerns with classroom teachers and supervisory staff
• Follow all program policies, confidentiality requirements, and licensing regulations

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• NYS Teaching Assistant Certification preferred/required based on position
• Experience working with children with special needs preferred
• Strong communication, patience, and organizational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
• Ability to support classroom instruction and behavior management
• Must meet all state and program background clearance requirements
