4‑H Youth Development Resource Educator
Location:
Seneca County, New York. Full‑time, exempt, 40 hours per week. Annual salary $62,353.20. Salary and benefits as described below.
- Identify youth and community‑based program needs and opportunities.
- Incorporate youth voice into program planning.
- Organize and lead projects and initiatives.
- Participate in district and state program teams as needed.
- Work with volunteers and partners to leverage resources for program impact.
- Collaborate with staff from CCE Associations and other agencies.
- Evaluate program outcomes and impacts.
- Prepare program reports as necessary.
- Represent the program and organization to internal and external audiences.
- Participate in the Association management team.
- Program Assessment – Apply subject‑matter knowledge to identify gaps and trends, develop needs assessments, recommend programmatic offerings, and ensure assessment alignment with Association plans.
- Program Development – Design innovative educational strategies, select resources, create or adapt curricula, and establish linkages with subject‑matter specialists.
- Program Delivery – Provide youth development programs across Seneca County, support volunteers, conduct presentations and workshops, serve as youth‑development expert to stakeholders, and represent the Association at public events.
- Program Evaluation – Create evaluation tools, collect data, analyze results, and communicate findings to improve programs.
- Administration – Develop strategies, assist with budgeting, advance communication/marketing, supervise staff, and monitor compliance with policies.
- Coordination & Operations – Prepare reports, maintain relationships with schools and agencies, recruit volunteers, and perform related duties.
- Professional Improvement & Other Duties – Pursue development plans, attend trainings, and perform assignments as directed.
- Master’s Degree in Youth Development, Education, Agriculture or related discipline.
- Relevant experience collaborating with schools, teachers and support staff.
- Strong communication skills in speaking, reading, and writing in English.
- Willingness and flexibility to travel, work evenings and/or weekends.
- Ability to work with diverse audiences and maintain cultural sensitivity.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Zoom; basic Windows‑based software proficiency.
- High integrity, accuracy, organization and sound professional judgment.
- Ability to manage confidential information.
- Strong organizational skills, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ability to plan, organize and present effective educational lessons to youth and adult volunteers.
- Self‑direction and effective participation in professional teams.
- Commitment to working with diverse participants and community‑based agencies.
- 2–3 years of related experience relevant to the role.
- Understanding of Positive Youth Development practice and evaluation.
- Familiarity with local communities and program resources.
- Experience with varied program delivery methods and integration of PYP principles.
Annual salary: $62,353.20.
