Cornell Cooperative Extension.
Assist in teaching educational camp programs at the Suffolk County Farm and Education Center and support day‑to‑day operations of the Diabetes Camp Program.
Responsibilities- Assist with teaching educational camp programs.
- Support day‑to‑day operations of the Diabetes Camp Program.
- Assist with transportation and logistical needs as required.
- Paid or volunteer experience working with children and/or the public.
- Experience with diabetes education or related issues.
- Minimum age 16, in compliance with New York State Department of Health regulations.
- Ability to meet travel requirements associated with the position.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and/or weekends.
- Additional education or training in the field of education.
- Additional education in environmental science, horticulture, animal science, agriculture, or natural science.
- Some teaching experience.
- Ability to assist with teaching and a keen interest in educating youth.
- Leadership abilities.
- A positive and energetic attitude.
