• Attend precamp meetings

• Actively supervise the pool, deck, and locker room areas during all aquatic activities
• Enforce pool safety rules, camp/school policies, and emergency procedures
• Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies, including water rescues, first aid, and CPR
• Conduct safety checks of the pool and equipment before, during, and after programs
• Maintain accurate incident and attendance records as required

• Teach group and private lessons to children ranging from 2.911 years old
• Deliver instruction aligned with program curriculum, ability levels, and safety benchmarks
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and encouraging learning environment
• Communicate progress, concerns, and achievements with aquatics leadership as needed
• Support camp programming, assessments, and special aquatic events as needed
• Serve as an ongoing positive presence within camp through your interactions with campers and other staff, your language, general appearance and behavior
• Perform other tasks to support the program as assigned by Aquatics Director / Director/Assistant Director

• Lifeguard & Swim Instructor: Minimum of completion of high school (some exceptions could be made for rising 12th grader based on experience)
• Lifeguard:
  • Current Lifeguard Certification (American Red Cross or equivalent)
  • CPR/AED and First Aid Certification
• Swim Instructor:
  • Preferred:
    Current Lifeguard Certification (American Red Cross or equivalent) preferred
  • CPR/AED and First Aid Certification preferred
  • Swim Instructor Certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
  • Strong communication skills, professionalism, and reliability

• At least 1 year of experience working with children (ideally in an aquatics setting)
• Fluency with swimming techniques, strokes, and water safety
• Preferred that candidates have worked at and attended summer camp settings previously
