Vietnam | Education and Teaching Ministry SEA Team Hope | Campus Outreach to Muslim Minority Students

Serve in a campus ministry in Southeast Asia and help reach out to Muslim students! Participate in evangelistic outreach and build relationships with students. Participate in evangelistic outreach and build meaningful relationships with students. University courses begin mid-August, and there are no longer summer class teaching opportunities in June – July.

Countries:
Southeast Asia

Terms: Long-Term (3+ years), Mid-Term (1 - 3 years), Short-Term (12 weeks - 1 year)

Responsibilities:
  • Participate in evangelistic outreach and build meaningful relationships with Muslim students.
  • Conduct dorm visits to connect with students.
  • Provide guidance counseling if trained.
  • Teach and tutor subjects such as Oral English, Math, Science, and specific coursework.
  • Mentor and coach scholars; provide leadership training.
  • Host social, educational, and equipping events for students.
  • Lead Discovery Bible Studies.
  • Tutor students in all subjects.
  • Connect with and visit student families.
  • Engage in campus activities such as sports and gardening.
Qualifications:
  • Must be a Jesus follower with a heart for reaching out to Muslim students.
  • Must be willing to live simply among an economically impoverished population.
  • Experience in campus ministry or working with Muslim communities is beneficial but not required.
  • Initiative to reach out to others and build friendships.
  • Helpful skills: guidance counseling, life coaching, and exposure to guidance counseling.
