Overview
The Kew-Forest School is a co‑educational independent day school located in Forest Hills, Queens, New York that serves a diverse population of approximately 225 students in Preschool (3‑year-olds) through Grade 12. Founded in 1918, Kew‑Forest is the longest‑serving college preparatory school in Queens. Our community nurtures lifelong learners, our educators inspire young people, and our students support each other.
The School is currently looking for an Assistant Varsity Soccer Coach for the upcoming Fall season, starting August 24, 2026. The Fall season is scheduled to consist of ten to fourteen games. Kew‑Forest participates in the Private School Athletic Association (PSAA).
Candidates should:- be available between the hours of 3:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. for practice and as early as 2:00 p.m. for travel to away games.
- be available to travel on the bus with student‑athletes to away games.
- goalie specialization a plus
- assisting with running practices (minimum 5 times/week; max 2 hours each).
- teaching/guiding student‑athletes in proper soccer techniques/strategy.
- assist with maintaining attendance at practices and communications with the team, parents, and Athletic Director with any changes/cancellations of practices and games.
- ensuring all student‑athletes have means of transportation to and from games.
- attending all soccer coaches meetings led by PSAA (if any).
- assist with team updates to the Athletic Director.
- The stipend range for this position is $2,000 – $2,800 based on experience.
- Candidates must complete required training course (CPR, mandated reporter, etc).
- Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States.
