Overview
The Kew-Forest School is a co-educational independent day school located in Forest Hills, Queens, New York that serves a diverse population of approximately 225 students in Preschool (3-year-olds) through Grade 12. Founded in 1918, Kew-Forest is the longest-serving college preparatory school in Queens. The School is currently looking for an Assistant Girls’ Varsity Volleyball Coach for the upcoming Fall season, starting August 24, 2026. The Fall season is scheduled to consist of 12-14 games. Kew-Forest participates in the Private School Athletic Association (PSAA). The season runs from August 24th to the end of October.
Candidates Must- be available between the hours of 3:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. for practice and as early as 2:00 p.m. for travel to away games.
- be available to travel on the bus with student‑athletes to away games.
- assisting with running practices (minimum 5 times/week; max 2 hours each).
- teaching/guiding student‑athletes in proper volleyball techniques/strategy.
- assisting with keeping attendance each practice and communicating with the team, parents, and Athletic Director with any changes/cancellations of practices and games.
- attending all volleyball coach meetings led by PSAA (if any).
- assisting with providing team updates to the Athletic Director.
- A stipend between $2,000 - $2,800 will be offered based on experience.
