Role Summary
This 10.5-month position assists the Undergraduate Admissions Office in attracting, recruiting, and enrolling students aventure University. The role is fully remote but requires candidates to currently reside in the New York City metropolitan area.
Salary range reflects New York City compensation requirements and market conditions.
Responsibilities- Develop a regional travel schedule and attend high school visits, college fairs, and consortiums within the assigned travel region.
- Track application materials and correspond with prospective students and their families virtually and in person.
- Interview and counsel prospective students and families during virtual and in‑person meetings, encouraging their interest and providing counseling.
- Build and strengthen relationships with prospective students and the school counseling community.
- Assist with special events, open houses, and other admissions events, including planning and coordination.
- Maintain professional networking relationships and complete projects as assigned.
- Manage and support the specific recruiting territory and special admit populations and campaigns.
- Maintain contact with alumni, prospective students, parents, and school counselors in the area.
- Process, review, and decide admissions applications, including GPA calculation, and make recommendations or decisions in conjunction with other counselors and the AVP/Director of Admissions.
- Implement best practices of university admissions, managing contact information toward achieving budget and stretch goals.
- Supervise admissions ambassadors and tele‑recruiters on the Recruitment Response Team.
- Conduct research on recruitment trends and policies, providing data collection, statistics, reports, and maintaining territory information.
- Attend professional development workshops or conferences related to admissions.
- Carry out any and all projects and responsibilities assigned by the AVP/Director of Admissions.
A bachelor’s degree is required.
- Previous work experience in an admissions office (e.g., student ambassador), student service area, or similar environment is preferred.
- Excellent organization, collaboration, and communication skills.
- Ability to adhere to customer service standards and procedures.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced and ever‑changing environment.
- Planning, coordinating, and scheduling skillset.
- Perform complex tasks and prioritize multiple projects.
- Organize resources and establish priorities.
- Manage projects from ideation to implementation and execution.
- Data collection, report preparation, and analysis.
- Ability to analyze and solve problems and make evaluative judgments.
- CRM experience preferred but not required.
- Apply and adhere to admissions policies, procedures and requirements.
- Work effectively as a team member, embodying professionalism.
