Department: Academic Advising Student Athletics

Campus: Rose Hill (RH) - Bronx

Position Summary: Reporting to the Director of Academic Support for Student Athletes, the Academic Support Coordinator for Student Athletes provides academic support and advising to student-athletes. This role includes regular interaction with high-risk and transfer students and requires some evening and weekend work, as well as occasional travel.

Essential Functions:
  • Tracks academic progress and provides support to student-athletes, including high-risk and transfer populations.
  • Meets regularly with assigned student-athletes (in person, virtual, or phone) for advising and degree planning.
  • Utilizes Salesforce and other systems to deliver comprehensive student support.
  • Uses data-driven tools to identify and prioritize students needing intervention.
  • Monitors mid-semester performance and collaborates with faculty and deans as needed.
  • Coordinates tutoring, mentoring, and supervised study sessions.
  • Collaborates with campus partners to support at‑risk students.
  • Responds to inquiries from students, parents, faculty, and administrators.
  • Maintains FERPA compliance and confidentiality standards.
  • Assists with administrative operations, including onboarding tutors, managing academic resources, and reconciling expenses.
  • Supports compliance with institutional, conference, and NCAA requirements, including NIL considerations.
  • Assists with oversight of daily study sessions.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 2 years of academic advising or related experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Academic advising or related experience, preferably with intercollegiate student-athletes.

Minimum Salary: $67,000

Maximum Salary: $75,000
