High School Math Teacher

We are seeking a highly qualified part-time high school math teacher to teach Algebra 1 at our school in Long Island, New York. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering engaging and effective lessons that promote student learning and success.

• Develop and deliver engaging and effective lessons in Algebra 1.
• Create and implement assessments to evaluate student learning and progress.
• Provide timely and constructive feedback to students on their work.
• Communicate regularly with parents and colleagues about student progress and achievement.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and assignments.
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support student learning and success.
• Participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.

• Bachelor's degree in mathematics or a related field.
• New York State teaching certification in mathematics.
• Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience, preferably at the high school level.
• Strong content knowledge and understanding of Algebra 1 curriculum and standards.
• Ability to create engaging and effective lesson plans that promote student learning and success.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
