  • Conduct formal and informal observations using NYE and DYCD‑aligned tools; facilitate pre‑ and post‑observation meetings; maintain coaching records; and complete required observation reports.
  • Review lesson plans and support staff in implementing NYE‑approved curricula and utilizing curriculum resources effectively.
  • Deliver and support professional development activities based on program needs and observation data.
  • Assist with the recruitment, interview, selection, and onboarding of instructional staff.
  • Monitor program quality, curriculum implementation, staff performance, and student engagement; communicate concerns and recommendations to site leadership and the Curriculum and Instruction Department.
  • Attend required meetings, trainings, and professional development sessions and submit all required reports and deliverables by established deadlines.
Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of three years of experience teaching, facilitating, or supporting K‑8 students in educational, after school, or youth development settings.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide constructive, strengths‑based coaching and feedback.
  • Knowledge of culturally responsive instructional practices and youth‑centered facilitation.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills.
Preferred
  • Experience with instructional coaching, teacher mentoring, or adult professional development.
  • Familiarity with DYCD/COMPASS observation and quality assessment frameworks.
  • Experience in after school or youth development programs.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Forms, and Slides).
Competencies
  • Instructional knowledge and understanding of effective teaching and facilitation practices in K‑8 settings.
  • Commitment to developing others through coaching, observation, feedback, and modeling.
