Hours: 8:00am-4:30pm

Compensation: $25/hour

Position

Summary

Classical Charter Schools is seeking enthusiastic and motivated Canvassing Interns to support enrollment efforts and summer operations for our newest school, SBC 5. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in education operations, community outreach, and enrollment management while making a meaningful impact on student recruitment and family engagement.

Canvassing Interns will play a key role in promoting SBC 5 within the community, assisting with enrollment initiatives, supporting operational projects, and helping prepare the school for a successful opening. Successful candidates are proactive, personable, organized, and eager to contribute wherever needed.

Key Responsibilities Enrollment & Community Outreach
  • Conduct community canvassing to increase awareness of SBC 5 and enrollment opportunities.
  • Distribute marketing materials and engage with prospective families in the community.
  • Represent Classical Charter Schools professionally at community events and outreach initiatives.
  • Support student recruitment and enrollment efforts throughout the summer.
Family Engagement & Communication
  • Make outbound calls to prospective and current families regarding enrollment and registration.
  • Assist families with completing enrollment requirements and answering general questions.
  • Maintain accurate records of outreach efforts and family interactions.
Operations Support
  • Assist with preparing the school building and classrooms for the upcoming school year.
  • Support inventory management, supply organization, and operational projects.
  • Help coordinate materials and resources needed for school opening activities.
  • Provide general administrative support as needed.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Complete special projects and other duties as assigned.
  • Support various departments with summer initiatives and operational needs.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to contribute wherever support is needed.
Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in a college or university or a recent college graduate.
  • Strong interest in education, operations, school administration, or community engagement.
  • Previous experience with canvassing, community outreach, customer service, enrollment, admissions, or student recruitment preferred.
  • Experience working in schools, educational programs, camps, or youth-serving organizations.
  • Willingness to work outdoors while canvassing and engaging with community members.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.
