Job Details

Position Report To: Assigned Program Manager
Start Date: August 17th, 2026
Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 3:00‑6:00 pm;
Wednesday 12:00‑6:00 pm.
Compensation: $25 per hour (22 hours per week)
FLSA Status: Non‑Exempt
Renewal Opportunity: Based on performance and availability, you may receive a renewal for the Spring After school sessions.

Responsibilities
  • Foster an inspiring, collaborative community through project‑based engineering, social‑emotional learning competencies, and effective classroom management.
  • Lead the championship‑winning Robotics team, guiding students through rigorous technical challenges.
  • Design hands‑on weekly lessons, guide youth workers, and facilitate team preparation for local and regional competitions.
  • Design and implement engaging robotics lesson plans and support coding sessions.
  • Build an inclusive coding lab and classroom community; maintain routines that demystify technology.
  • Provide one‑on‑one guidance to scholars needing additional support.
  • Ensure safety and supervision of scholars during all session times and group activities.
  • Maintain accurate program documentation, including attendance and incident reports.
  • Collaborate with leadership to secure, maintain, and steward technology equipment.
  • Assist with field trip and overnight competition safety and logistics.
  • Assist with additional duties as needed to support the community.
Qualifications
  • At least two years of teaching or career experience in middle or high school coding.
  • Associate’s degree or at least 60 college credits in engineering or a related science field.
  • At least two years of experience working with middle or high school students in an after‑school or summer camp setting.
  • Experience working with diverse populations (academic, cultural, ethnic).
  • Committed to continuous improvement and learning through professional development.
  • Flexible and adaptable to program and student needs, willing to work with any age range from 9‑12.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Competent with Google and/or Microsoft suite.
  • At least two years of experience creating and implementing project‑based lesson plans.

  • Partner with the Robotics Instructor to support robot season goals.

Group safety, tech equipment & cleanliness

  • Active supervision of scholars at all times.
  • Steward hardware & software: maintain and organize equipment.
  • Support safety and behavior during field trips and overnight trips.

Administration & team support

  • Maintain accurate program documentation; track attendance; report incidents.
  • Adaptability: support team duties as needed.
  • Progress monitoring: provide summaries and reports of scholar skills.
