Success Academy Charter Schools (Success Academy) is a large, fast‑growing network of public charter schools serving students across New York and Florida. We believe every child deserves a fun, rigorous, whole‑child education and recognise the essential role of arts in learning.

We are looking for a results‑driven Theater Teacher to join our community.

• Build a classroom culture in which scholars develop a love of theater.
• Collaborate with other Theater Teachers across the network to build a world‑class theater program while engaging the community in the vital role of the arts in education.
• Engage in training with school leaders and benefit from targeted, in‑the‑moment feedback on instruction to accelerate learning and growth.
• Engage students with a repertoire that is relevant to their lives and interests.
• Design and execute professional‑quality performance opportunities for all scholars.

• Achieved outstanding academic results.
• Have professional training in a rigorous theater program or extensive professional performance credit.
• Have a passion for theater and learning, and for working with children and implementing effective theater instruction.
• Set ambitious goals for yourself and others, and are not afraid of putting in the hard work it takes to achieve them.
• Have confidence and presence – you enjoy taking the lead and inspiring others with your passion and commitment.
• Enjoy collaborating with others (e.g., playing on an athletics team, or in a band or orchestra).
• Have leadership experience (e.g., leadership position on a club or team; experience overseeing/managing people or organizing activities).
• Pay strong attention to detail, and have experience juggling multiple responsibilities and planning around competing priorities.
• Have experience working with a group of children.
• Embody the character traits we value in our ETHOS – Excellence, Teamwork, Humor, Ownership, and putting scholars first.
• Have or will receive a Bachelor’s degree prior to your start date.

Exact compensation may vary based on skills and experience.

Compensation Range: $65,000 – $65,000 USD.
