The Hewlett Woodmere Middle School is seeking a qualified and dedicated Family and Consumer Science teacher for a .2 part-time position for the 2026-27 school year. The position begins August 26, 2026 and ends June 30, 2027. This role requires NYS certification in Family and Consumer Science/Home and Careers. The successful candidate will serve students at Woodmere Middle School.

At Woodmere Middle School (.2 FTE):

Provide instruction in the Family and Consumer Science classroom.

Collaborate with special education teachers to plan and deliver differentiated instruction.

Implement IEP goals aligned with NYS learning standards.

Support students in accessing the curriculum through accommodations, modifications, and instructional strategies.

Monitor and document student progress; participate in CSE meetings as needed.

Required

Certifications:

New York State Certification in Family and Consumer Science/Home and Careers

Preferred Experience:

Teaching experience in Family and Consumer Science

Knowledge of NYS Standards

Strong collaboration and communication skills

This is a .2 part-time position at Woodmere Middle School.

Compensation in accordance with Hewlett Woodmere Faculty Association contract.
