DescriptionThe Graduate Architecture, Landscape Architecture, and Urban Design department at Pratt Institute seeks part‑time teaching faculty to begin in the Fall 2026 semester. The role supports a creative learning community and encourages faculty with a broad vision for the future of design. This position will teach seminars and studio courses across the Graduate Architecture, Landscape Architecture, and Urban Design program. Applicants should be able to articulate their vision in the field and bring expertise in one or more of the following areas: design studio teaching, building systems design, digital and physical fabrication, visualization and communication, or history/theory.
Note:
This is a UFCT union position. Currently, new H‑1b visas are not supported for candidates residing outside the United States.
- Teach part‑time seminars in the Graduate Architecture, Landscape Architecture, and Urban Design department across mediums, technology, or history/theory sequences.
- Teach part‑time courses in the M.Arch, MLA, MS Arch, or MSUD studio sequences.
Applicants must hold a professional degree in architecture, landscape architecture, or a relevant field and have undergraduate or graduate‑level teaching experience. Candidates should demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, intercultural competence, and the ability to work with diverse populations.
