Job Summary:SUNY Sullivan is seeking a skilled professional to serve as a part-time Adjunct Instructor in the Criminal Justice program. This position involves teaching college-level courses including but not limited to Cultural Diversity & Criminal Justice, Criminal Investigations, Police Operations, Domestic & International Terrorism, Intro to Forensic Science, Juvenile Justice, and Police-Community Relations.
Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate a commitment to the community college philosophy and a culture of belonging.
Qualifications:- Master's degree in Criminal Justice or a closely-related field
- Minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in Criminal Justice or a closely-related field
- Prior teaching or training experience (higher education teaching preferred)
- Ability to teach various modalities, including seated, online, and hybrid classes
- Availability to teach during the daytime, 1-2 days per week
- Teach college-level business courses in both in-person and online formats, fostering an engaging and inclusive learning environment
- Develop and deliver lesson plans aligned with established curriculum and course learning outcomes
- Evaluate and assess student performance based on course objectives using clear and consistent grading practices
