Educational Experiences Coordinator

Job Title

Educational Experiences Coordinator – Positive Youth Development Institute, Division of Extension, University of Wisconsin–Madison.

3500 University Ave., Madison, Wisconsin. The position may require some in‑person work and up to two days per week remote.

Organizes the development and delivery of outreach programs, including staffing responsibilities. Assists with policy development and coordinates resources to promote stable and productive relationships between the university and local community. Strives to expand and ensure access to programs, facilities, and educational services for diverse audiences.

• Schedules day‑to‑day activities for program staff, student, and community volunteers.
• Supervises and project‑manages the work of Student Assistants supporting the educational program portfolio.
• Schedules and secures logistics and resources in support of outreach programs.
• Identifies, promotes, and maintains internal and external partnerships to support outreach initiatives.
• Provides general office support for educational experiences in line with Institute Associate Director and State Program Specialist priorities.
• Identifies opportunities for program improvement or new outreach program development.
• Directs the implementation of program policies and procedures.

• Two (2) years of relevant professional or volunteer service in education or youth development experiences.
• Demonstrated ability to plan and direct program implementation for youth audiences or relevant experience.
• Experience developing and implementing policy, practices, and systems related to youth or adult programming.

• Experience effectively supervising and directing the work of volunteers or student employees.
• Experience evaluating program delivery, outcomes, impact, and effectiveness.
• Fiscal program budget responsibility or experience.

Required:

Bachelor’s degree. Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree in education, social work, human development, family studies, or a related field.

The minimum annual (12 month) starting salary is $59,603, negotiable based on experience and qualifications. The position offers comprehensive benefits, including paid time off, health/dental/vision/life insurance, tax‑advantaged savings accounts, and participation in the Wisconsin Retirement System pension fund.

Employees must have a valid driver’s license and reliable independent transportation for periodic in‑state work travel. Employees are responsible for their own transportation; the university does not reimburse travel between home and assigned work location.
