ONC BOCES is seeking hourly CDL-A and CDL-B Driving Instructors

Qualified applicants will have a valid NYS CDL-A driver’s license. They will have experience driving a manual tractor-trailer, manual dump truck and/or other applicable CDL vehicle, have strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to effectively train and mentor adult students.

Responsibilities:
Train adult students to drive CDL-A and CDL-B vehicles, collaborate with the Adult Education Coordinator to schedule students and driving times, and upload student data onto the Federal Motor Carrier's Safety Administration website.

Flexible hours available.

Salary: $35/hour, as needed.

Civil Service position candidates must be reachable on the existing eligibility list. If there is no mandated eligibility list, candidates will be considered for provisional appointment. Continued employment will be contingent on successfully passing the required examination and being reached on the eligibility list.

The selected applicant will be subject to a fingerprint support criminal history background check in accordance with SAVE Legislation effective July 1, 2001.
