Elementary Mathematics Teacher

Saint David’s School seeks a full-time mathematics teacher, starting September 1, 2026. Saint David’s is an independent elementary school for boys, located in Manhattan. Founded in the Catholic tradition, the school welcomes everyone.

• Teach four mathematics courses, Grades Four through Eight.
• Collaborate with colleagues and administrators to develop signature units that showcase students’ thinking and presentation skills.
• Where appropriate, form interdisciplinary connections, and integrate technology and inquiry-based learning.
• Participate fully in grade-level and faculty meetings.
• Attend lunch and special student activities such as class plays and concerts.
• Maintain effective professional communication with students, teachers, and administrators through a variety of media, including meetings, conferences, and formal academic reports.
• Engage in ongoing professional development.
• Maintain strong, positive classroom culture and climate.

• Dynamic hands‑on teacher who emphasizes problem solving while building essential knowledge
• Commitment to professional development and mathematics curriculum development
• BS and MS/Ed.M in field related to mathematics and/or elementary education
• Facility with technology
• Commitment to boys’ education and character education
• Collegiality, flexibility, humor

Salary range dependent on experience: $70,000 - $121,900
