LaGuardia Community College is inviting applications for part‑time faculty positions in the Natural Sciences Department, teaching college‑level Chemistry courses for the Fall 2026 semester, starting September 1, 2026.
ResponsibilitiesDevelop and deliver lecture and laboratory instruction for SCC 110 Foundation of Chemistry
, including assessments, grading, and student guidance. Course topics include measurement and significant figures, atomic structure, elements and compounds, chemical reactions, stoichiometry, solutions, acids and bases, classification of simple organic compounds, and biomolecules.
- Adjunct Assistant Professor:
Ph.D. in chemistry or related field, proven teaching effectiveness, scholarship or achievement. - Adjunct Lecturer:
Master’s degree or enrollment in a graduate program in a relevant field, proven teaching effectiveness, scholarship or achievement.
- Adjunct Lecturer: $112.50 per hour.
- Adjunct Assistant Professor: $120.83 per hour.
