Minerva Central School is seeking a dedicated, student-centered School Counselor to join our school community. This role is essential in supporting students’ academic success, social-emotional development, and post‑secondary planning, including college, career, military, and Vo‑Tech pathways.
Position OverviewProvide academic, social, and emotional guidance to students.
Support college, career, military, and Vo‑Tech readiness.
Assist students with career exploration and vocational planning.
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and outside agencies.
Help foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
Develop and manage students to ensure alignment with graduation requirements, instructional priorities and individual student needs.
Duties May Include- Create Master Schedule (Elementary/Secondary)
- Transition Planning
- School Wide PBIS Coordinator
- Character Education
- MTSS Team Member
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- A compassionate, student‑focused approach
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a school team
